Accommodations
Victoria Rooms is very convenient to downtown, local colleges and many private and public ESL and post secondary schools. Bus service is convenient and provides access to most areas of the city within minutes from the house.
Here, you will also find that there are many services provided and included to help make your stay comfortable and there are no surprise costs to realize later.
The house owner is a certified ESL teacher and has had many years experience hosting and helping international people in Victoria. There may be days it is difficult to be away from your family and friends at home and it is helpful to live with patient and friendly people who become your family here in this beautiful city. You are not alone in this house, but you can be alone in your room when you prefer.
House
The house features a large kitchen, dining room, washrooms, laundry room, sitting room and computer room that provide comfort for you and help you to feel at home. Some of the services included in the house are; electricity, water, heat, cable TV, telephone (local calls or calling cards), high speed internet, coin laundry machines and (unlike many shared homes) all toilet tissues, paper towels and dishcloths are provided. |

The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerators, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, rice cooker, dishes, utensils and pots for cooking, so bring your recipes and learn new ones with your roommates.
The washrooms provide showers, toilets, sinks and a bathtub and are clean and lockable for your convenience and privacy.
The computer room offers three computers on high speed Internet and it often becomes a friendly meeting place with roommates. Each computer has the ability to use additional languages, so if you don't bring your computer or are having problems with yours, feel free to login to email and browse.
Bedrooms
Every bedroom is private and furnished nicely with a bed, blankets, pillows, dresser, desk, closet, TV, lamps and wireless Internet and you will be provided with a key to lock your door for privacy and security.
Note: Depending on availability, you have the option to choose a private bedroom where you can relax or study alone when you prefer, or if you wish to share a room with your friend and reduce the costs of a private room, it may be possible if a double room is available. |
